Egg Time!

The church here has been making and selling chocolate eggs at Easter time for some 25 years. I got to be a part of the action for the first time this past week. It is quite an operation. Volunteers hand roll nearly 5000 eggs. They come in cream, chocolate, coconut and peanut butter flavors. We sell three one ounce eggs for 2 bucks.

YoYo was here!

Our good friend Yoyo from the Frankfort church came for a visit this weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed her and had a big time going to Lambert's, shopping and worshipping with her Sunday. We love YoYo!

Spring is Busting Out All Over

Our yard is looking so beautiful and we had absolutely nothing to do with it! The lady who owns this house who we are now renting from was an avid gardener and we are reaping the benefits of her hard labor. All these gorgeous flowers have been blooming and it's been such a surprise to see what is coming up. The yard is Paul's domain so I sure hope he knows what to do to make this happen again next year. I sure don't. My mom has never had an interest in gardening and therefore didn't pass that love down to me. I enjoy looking at the flowers but don't care a thing about getting out there and digging in the dirt.

Green Eggs and Ham

There hasn't been much going on in the prairie lately so the blog posts have been pretty sporadic. Thought I would share some pictures from Dr. Suess week. Mrs. Leslie does the funnest things with the class. Here they got to stir up their own egg with green food coloring, then pour it in the pan and watch it cook. Everyone loved it!

Early Morning Walk

Mallory helped Uncle Bud take Callie out for her morning potty break. Mal slipped on her cowgirl boots with her nightgown and was ready to go!

Pecan Pickin'

Some people from the church who live right down the road from us gave us 50 lbs of pecans last week~! Yahoo!!! I was so excited! I love to bake and having pecans on hand is so fabulous! We took them to be cracked on Saturday and Aunt Carole, Paul and Mallory took the first shift at shelling them and putting them in bags. What a blessing to have been given these great little morsels!
