Dinosaur World

When Grandaddy and Grandma June were here we went to Dinosaur World in Cave City, KY. We had always seen this big dinosaur on I-65 when we drove to AL so it was fun to finally visit the place. The kids loved all the dinosaurs and we had fun too!

First Day of School

Today is Mallory's first day of school. She is in the 4 year old preschool class this year and is looking forward to another great year with her teachers and friends. She took Mrs Lori and Mrs Teresa a nice shiny red apple today!

It's a hit!

We loved the Wigwam Village Inn in Cave City KY! After all the terrible reviews on Trip Advisor I was a little worried but still wanted to stay there for a night. We all loved it! The kids had a great time playing on the old timey playground equipment and my dad's wife said it was the highlight of their trip! This is saying a lot as they had just finished an Alaskan cruise! Try it out sometimes! Too fun!!

Sleep in a tee pee

So my dad and his wife are in KY. We're picking them up in Lville in the morning and heading south to Cave City KY for a little over night. The whole reason I wanted to go was to stay at this Wigwam Village Inn. It was built back in the 30s and just screams nostalgia and old days kind of fun with the play ground for kids, etc. so we're going to check it out. Problem is the reviews on Trip Advisor are pretty grim. Stay tuned to see how it turns out for us!

The old days

My mother and Lothar scanned in some old pix the other day and sent me a few. I just get a kick out of seeing them. Check out my hair in this first one. Those ponytails are practically on my temples. Mother said there probably was a third ponytail in the back! She made me that groovy dress. The second one is my cousins Sonya, Kathleen and Claunch and my brother. We girls were really decked out in these prarie dresses, not sure why.

Legends Night

We went to a Lexington Legends game last week to see the game but mostly to see our friend John playing the safety bear. Paul and John are work out buddies and Paul couldn't wait to see John in this bear get up and of course tease him unmercifully as guys do. John works for the highway safety office for the state and playing this bear is part of his job. He said he loves it but it's hot!

Soccer Time

Mallory had her first soccer game yesterday with the Trailblazers! They did great and seemed to have a fun time out on the field. We were so proud of Mal and enjoyed all the joys of supporting our little girl on her first team!
