Golf Lessons

We stopped by the putt putt place at the park last weekend. It was free for our kids' ages so we let them hit the ball around. Paul tried to help Mallory some. Michael didn't quite get it. I didn't know they were going to play when I put them in these cute little outfits but they really look like golfers!

Feeding the fish

We recently visited the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery during a trip to Lake Cumberland State Park. We found out about it by talking to some people in the pool who had been there. We just thought it would be a little roadside mom and pop place when they said you could feed fish and all that. It was a huge operation. They raise brown trout and rainbow trout to supply over 100 streams, lakes, etc all over Kentucky just for regular old people like you and me to catch when we go fishing. The kids really loved feeding the fish.

Birthday cake

Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted a cake. Went to a local grocery store to buy one but just couldn't do it. I would rather make my own cake than get a store bought one. So, that's what I did. You can see from the pic I also ate a piece when it was done and didn't even wait on the fam to sing and blow out candles. We did that later!

Last day of school

Today was Mallory's last day of her first year of school! The class did a program for the parents and then had a picnic outside. It is also Mommy's birthday so I enjoyed the fun of the day as well.

Pajama Day

Tuesday was Pajama Day at Mallory's school. Her daddy takes her to school so here they are about to head out. Michael wanted in on the pj fun pic! I didn't get to the school in time to get any group shots of the kids but I am sure it was cute as can be.

Parent night

Last Tuesday was parent night at Mallory's dance class. They did their recital routine and other little things that they do during their classes. It was so cute and fun to watch.

Company fun

Our friends Brandon and Kristin from Ohio visited this weekend. Mallory and Michael loved having them to play with. Paul was Brandon's pastor at one time and officiated their wedding in Sept of 07. M and M are sporting their darling matching Hilo Hattie outfits that Martha and Wesley brought them from Hawaii.

Brother/Sister love

These are Mallory and Michael's friends Caroline and Carter. They were dressed sort of alike on Sunday like M and M were so I had to take a few pix.

I love being a mommy

We celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday by going out to dinner in Lexington at Rafferty's. After that we went to Culver's for frozen custard. It was a great evening. Today I got a little second treat when we went to Wallace Station for lunch . It was a gorgeous day and we sat outside. Last night Mallory got in bed with us some time in the night and then Michael did too. I loved waking up with my babies beside me.
