Father of the Bride

My daddy's stuff finally arrived from New Zealand. My brother got it delivered to his house today. He's been going thru it tonight and sending Paul and me pictures of what he's discovering. He just sent me these pictures and said he has to call it a night and do more later. Too heart wrenching.
I love these pictures. My dad was so happy to walk me down the aisle. I remember him coming to get me in the choir room when it was time. I remember him saying how great the music was that the vocalists had been singing. I picked a lot of show tunes!

My daddy was a perfect father of the bride.

Geaux Tigers

Saturday we trekked over to Baton Rouge for the LSU/FL game. Paul loves the Tigers and hadn't gotten to go to a game since 2006. We had bought tickets from stub hub on the very top row of the upper section but found better tickets after we got there and sold our other ones. We ended up with good seats so that made it much more enjoyable. It was blazing hot but we still had a great time. LSU won so that was the icing on the cake! That night we had an awesome seafood dinner at Mike Anderson's in Gonzales. Our hotel was only three weeks old so it was really neat too.

10 Years

Yesterday was our 10th anniversary.  I can't believe how fast the years have flown by. I am so thankful The Lord blessed me with Paul. He's a great husband, father, pastor, friend and person.

We were in Destin for our anniversary and for the wedding of the daughter of our best friends in New Orleans. It was yesterday on our anniversary.  It was both our first times to attend a beach wedding. It was so gorgeous. The weather was absolutely perfect. The reception was fun with good food and festivities. Congrats to Corrie and Claire!!

Everyone in attendance threw a shell in the gulf at the same time while saying a prayer for the couple.

Purple Toes-ter

The kids got Paul a purple toaster for our anniversary/his birthday. We haven't had a toaster since shortly after we got married. We had two different ones but I got rid of them to save counter space and Paul has given me a hard time ever since. We've had a toaster oven this whole time however which I think is much more versatile. When we saw this purple toaster at Sam's we had to get it for him.

Our 10 year anniversary is Friday and we're heading to Destin for a little getaway. So happens our good friends, the Cullisons have a daughter getting married on the beach on our anniversary so we'll get to be a part of that as an added bonus! Then Saturday we're heading over to Baton Rouge for the LSU/FL game. I got a pedicure last night and chose purple for my toes for the Tigers:)

My friend sent me this picture of the sign they'll have at the beach entrance to where the wedding will be taking place. So cute:)

Homecoming

Yesterday was the big homecoming parade followed by the big game last night. Mallory's friend Makayla spent the night and went with us to the festivities. We lost the game but it was fun nonetheless!

Go Fight Swim

Mallory and Michael aren't doing winter swim but a sweet little girl from the church is. I made her this sign to cheer her on for her 1st meet this Saturday. Her two big sisters are on the swim team but since this is her first time I made the sign special for her. She's just five, bless her heart!
