The first Saturday in May is always the Kentucky Derby. It is sort of the biggest day of the year here. There is a Governor's Derby Breakfast on the capitol grounds
and we have been every year since we got here. Today was our fourth one. There's lots to see and do and we always enjoy going. We saw our friend Elisabeth Martin there. She is the first white Miss KSU, Kentucky State Univ-a HBCU-Historically Black College or University.
