Family Movie Day

Today we went to our first movie as a family. I have taken the kids to the movies before and Paul and I have been together but we have never been all together. We saw Planet 51 here in NY. It was really cute. Michael just grabbed the big popcorn and took it over. It was hilarious.

We took the kids to the Frankfort Candlelight Tour a couple of weeks ago and got their picture taken with Santa, the first one of the kind this Christmas season. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we wish you all a very happy one and a blessed holiday season!

Michael's Tree

My mother got Mallory her tree. The other day Michael and I were in Wal Mart looking at the trees and knowing he needed one for his room I called Oma who gladly said she would get Michael one too! We still have a lot of decorating to do but it's coming along. He just loves it!

We had two darling flower girls, AnnaBelle and Camelia Grace, in our wedding six years ago. I ended up with both of their dresses after they had outgrown them. I knew one day Mallory could wear them either as Christmas dresses or maybe at Valentine's time. Well, the day has come. I had already picked up a Christmas dress for her but remembered the dresses the other night and got one out to try on her. This one was Camelia Grace's and it is a perfect fit. AnnaBelle's is a little longer so maybe Mallory can wear it next year! The little dyed to match shoes that they wore also fit her. Let's Get Started!

We got an early start on our Christmas decorations this year! Mallory did her tree all by herself, well with a little help from Michael who kep trying to eat her candy and ice cream ornaments!!

Floor Tea Parties

We love having little tea parties on the floor in the family room. We do it on top of the computer chair mat because there are always lots of spills! Michael eats nearly the entire sugar bowl before it's all said and done.

Miss Trudy's

I love having a little girl. I love playing beauty shop (which we call Miss Trudy's) and washing her long hair in the sink because she can't stand doing it in the bath tub. I love when she wants me to paint her fingers and toes and lines up all the pink shades of polish I have. I love putting her down for a nap and saying, "can you go to sleep by yourself?" and her saying "yes, well maybe if you turn the TV on". My little girl is such a joy and delight. I am so thankful for her!!

Michael thought he would try out my blue Wilton food color last night while I was making Mallory's birthday cake~!

Mallory is 5 today!

Mallory started off her birthday celebration today by passing out snacks to her friends in school. Then the family went to McDonald's for lunch. Saturday is her Scooby Doo party!
