Sweet Dreams

Mrs. Margaret, a very sweet lady who worships with us, gave the kids these darling pillowcases yesterday. I had asked her for her squash casserole recipe and she said to come by any time to get it. We went by to pick it up and left with new pillows for the kids, two zucchini breads, over two dozen biscuits and a recipe card:) Margaret has made these pillowcases for all her great grandchildren.

Look Ma, no cavities!

Michael had his first check up at the dentist the other day. He didn't like it at all at first but ended up doing OK. And...no cavities! Yea!

Zoo Friends

We took two kids from the church to the Louisville Zoo the other day as a little end of the summer outing. Hayley and Devon and Mallory and Michael had a big time. Paul came along last minute to assist in supervising as he didn't think I could keep up with four kids. He might have been right. When we got to the splash park I did have a hard time keeping my eye on the three who splashed. Paul said he didn't want to get a call saying "last I saw him was at the elephants..."

rainy day craft

Today is dark and gloomy so it was a great day for a craft. Recently I bought this white apron at a yard sale for 50 cents . Then I got some fabric paint at Wal Mart. The kids and I had a fun time making handprints on it for a keepsake for Mommy.

Pajama Party

Mallory went to a dance camp a couple of weeks ago. The theme was "Pajama Party". They wore their pj's every day and did crafts and learned some cute dances, etc.

M-M- good

I love these pictures of Michael eating corn on the cob for the first time. He loved it! I hadn't given him any before because of his caps but this was so tender and I cut it down the middle of each row of kernels so it was easy to bite off. We have this triple sweet corn here that is so delicious. Paul prefers the yellow big kernel kind. Michael is obviously with me on liking this one.
