Mallory's Last Hurrah

We had our last Upward Cheerleading basketball game last week. It was a really fun experience for me as Mallory's coach. She would call me Coach Tammy when we were at practice and the games, it was cute.

I made treat bags for the girls, then the parents all brought stuff to put in them for the last game.

I had done these little necklaces for soccer and they happened to have wooden basketballs at Wal Mart so I did these for the girls too.

Covered dish throwback

Pear Salad is an old southern dish that is getting lost in the new age. I like to bring back these old dishes when we have potlucks at the church. Mallory put this one all together by herself a couple of weeks ago. It's basically pear halves with a dollop of mayo, a cherry and some grated cheddar cheese. It was fun for her to put together and it actually all got eaten at the dinner! An oldie but goodie with the older crowd.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother!

Today is my mother's birthday. She is the best mother, grandmother and friend in all the world. We love you Oma!!! Tomorrow would have been her mother, my grandmother's birthday. I always thought it was neat they had birthdays a day apart! Have a wonderful day, Mother Jules!
