Mallory's Ride Home

We decided to let Mallory ride the bus home from school and Monday was her first day. I never rode a school bus as there was never one zoned for where we lived. Paul never rode the bus because he lived practically across the street from the school in his hometown that was all the grades. So, this was a big deal for us to meet Mallory on her first day. The bus comes pretty early in the morning so Paul or I will still take her but she is literally the first person to get off on the ride home. I had picked her up last week and the bus would be right behind me so it just made sense.

Here are Paul and Michael waiting for the big arrival.

Where is Sissy?
Here she comes...
Turning on our street.
Coming up the hill.

Almost here...
The lights are on.
There's Mal. She sits on the first seat next to the window. The bus monitor sits next to her so she can't possibly get in any trouble!
Our girl.
Home at last!

The big cruise

I finally got all the cruise photos in to an album. DISCLAIMER: Paul and my dad did a "no shave" pact on the trip which might have lent to a nice father in law/son in law bonding time but didn't necessarily lend to nice husband photos:) You can see for yourself here.

Mallory Starts School

Mallory started Kindergarten this week. She loves it so far. Three days down, 13 years to go! I did a little album of her morning on Wednesday. You can see it by clicking here.

Promotion Sunday

Michael was promoted from the nursery a couple of weeks ago. Since I am the nursery coordinator I had the honor of presenting him with his certificate and a little gift. I always have baby goldfish crackers in the nursery so the little ones won't choke. I got him a big thing of regular goldfish to take with him to the preschool class to share with his friends.

Please pray for Bobby

Our dear friend Bobby Hill is at Vanderbilt Medical Center battling what they believe is cancer although the exact diagnosis is uncertain at this time. Please pray for him and his family. These pictures were taken on Easter. We had lunch with the Hills and Bobby always heads up an egg hunt for the kids. He also had a kite for every kid there. He's a super guy who needs people to lift him up to our powerful Lord and Savior at this time.

Been Cruisin...

We're back from our wonderfully fun cruise with my father and brother. Many many many pictures to come of course! This was taken as we were about to embark on the Carnival Elation in Mobile. Our shirts say "Claunch Cruises" (Claunch is my maiden name). At the top they say Sailing with the Mattes.
