Snow Day
School was cancelled today due to icy road conditions more than snow. There's only a very light dusting of snow but the roads look pretty icy from where I sit in our nice, toasty family room:) We're off on Monday and Tuesday for MLK and the kids and I are planning a trip over to Frankfort. I fear they may reschedule today on Tuesday so our trip will be cut short. But we'll still have a good time no matter what. In the mean time the kids are in their pjs watching Looney Tunes and still have no idea school is out today. We didn't tell them when the call came in last night. I thought it would be fun to let them sit around eating breakfast, watching cartoons and then finally wonder, "are we gonna get dressed Mom?" and then for me to say "no school!"
This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago but they happen to be in these two same pair of pjs right now!

Peaches Lately
We are so crazy about our little stray dog. Peaches is a part of the family now and we all love him. Paul even recently consented to having him sleep with us at night. He's still in his crate during the day when we're not home. Paul tested him one time and left him out while he ran an errand. Peaches had torn up a bunch of paper, etc when he got back! He's a big fluffy furball and we are just smitten!

Sweet Home Alabama
We're still in Alabama seeing my dad. He's been in the hospital the whole time. There still is no diagnosis so it's quite frustrating for all involved. We have had some bad days but The Lord has seen us through. All glory to Him.
On a lighter note we've enjoyed a few "fun" things. The kids and I went ice skating yesterday. Michael loved it. Mallory struggled and I didn't like it any more than when I skated on that same rink as a kid! We lasted 45 minutes.
The kids rode the carousel and got a treat and it was a good afternoon. While we were doing that Paul went to see Lincoln. Last night I got to see Les Mis and LOVED it!! It's long but I'd go again today if I could.
We plan to head back to EP tomorrow. I have to say after two weeks off from school, I'm really NOT ready to go back:)
