A Peek in to Art Class
My friend Monique is a sub in our school district. Today she was subbing in Art and had Mallory. She text me this sweet pic of Mallory in class.
This afternoon she had Michael too! I had forgotten they both have art the same day. The art teacher floats between our school and the other elementary school campus so the sub does as well. Monique sent this cute pic of Michael this afternoon and said " 2 for 2"!

Catching up
I haven't posted regularly lately. I don't have as many pix as I used to. I need to get better about taking them! Here are a few random ones I have on my
phone.
Michael had a really loose tooth. It finally came out:)
Paul sent me some beautiful roses on Valentine's Day. It was the 11th anniversary of our first date:) we went to a new restaurant here in our area and had a really good time.
A big group of moms and daughters went to a Secret Keeper girl event this week. This is a ministry that is geared for girls ages 6-12 that stresses modesty and being God crazy instead of boy crazy. It was really awesome. Mallory and Chayse got these cute shirts about God being crazy about them!

Snow Days
Tomorrow will be our third snow day in a row. The kids had fun playing in the snow yesterday but were bored today. Can't imagine how they'll feel tomorrow!

Michael's Turn
Mallory is grounded from having friends over. She had a really poor attitude a couple of weeks ago when she had two friends over to spend the night so Paul grounded her for a month from sleepovers. After two weeks she can have a friend after school or church to
play for a couple of hours.
So Michael has been taking advantage and having friends over himself. Last week he had Lance and tonight Will. I'm glad he's finally getting up a good group of buddies who will spend the night. For so long it's just been Mallory having friends and Michael has been 'girl trapped' as he calls it.

My Sardines Story
When I was in the 3rd grade my mom packed sardines in my lunch. I went to a small private school in Lownes County Alabama that didn't have a cafeteria. We ate lunch in our classrooms. When I pulled out the sardines and started eating everyone cried stinky. My teacher made me go outside by myself and eat. I still remember that and have told my kids the story.
Mallory who is now in 3rd grade herself likes sardines. She actually loves them. Yesterday she asked me to
pack some in her lunch. I warned her that she could be made fun of. I asked her what she was going to say when people asked her what she had in her lunch. She said "I like 'em". So I packed the sardines.
After school I asked her how it went. She said when she started eating them everyone was asking her what she was eating. They were grossed out. The teacher on duty came over and asked, "What's that smell?" She said the teacher moved the kids around her to another table. She said it made her feel bad. She said some kids ended up saying they liked them too. I asked her if she was ever going to take sardines again. She said no.
Later on she told me when she has a little girl she's going to send her to school with sardines in the 3rd grade so she'll have her story. She said that will be three generations.
