The ice cream took a dip

We took Mallory to Baskin Robbins as a reward for doing so well at something she is still struggling with (you can probably guess!). She was so excited to get her rainbow ice cream.
Until this happened.
And it's down.

All happy again with a new (and paid for again) cone.

Scissor happy

Mallory got her hair cut last week even before Michael's. But, with as much hair as she has no one even noticed! We actually got three inches cut off!

I'm a sucker for a good haircut...

We finally cut Michael's hair off on Saturday. I didn't want to cut off his long curls as I knew it would make him look older. Well, it does, but he is still as cute as can be. You can tell by the pictures he went thru a half dozen suckers thru the process. I usually don't give him suckers as we have had enough teeth problems with him already, but for this occasion, it seemed to work. Daddy is so proud of his boy, more pix to follow.

Best Friends

This is Mallory's best friend, Greta. They have been friends for three years this month. Mallory turned 4 in Nov and Greta turned 5 in Dec. So they were only one and two when they met. Greta came over to play the other day. They enjoy dressing up and just have a big time together. Greta's little sister Megan also was here.

A Fairy Tea

Mallory attended a fairy tea at the Paul Sawyier Public Library on Saturday. We came up with a fairy costume using her dance class wear and she used the wings she got at a recent fairy birthday party. I braided her hair in a sweet little crown and we added some daffodils from our yard for the finishing touch. Mallory sat with Lucy, the daughter of one of my MOPS friends, Becky. There was special music, the presentation of all the fairies, dancing with some local ballet students and the perfect fare of grapes, a cheese stick and a little petit four. Plus pink lemonade in place of tea but I guess A Fairy Lemonade doesn't have the same ring. Afterwards the fairies paraded thru the library. Best of all, the entire event was free. I enjoy checking out the paper and seeing what's going on locally for the kids to participate in. The next day Mallory and Lucy were in the newspaper. Ahhh, small town living...

They're off to see the Wizard

Paul took Mallory to a local production of The Wizard of Oz tonight. She was so excited to go on her date with Daddy.

Michael's first story time

I took Michael to the library for his first story time the other day. I have been taking Mallory since we moved here but this was Michael's first time where he is signed up, gets his own little nametag and the session is for his age group. He seemed to enjoy it. Our local library is fantastic. This weekend they are having a Fairy Tea for girls age 3 and up so I am taking Mallory. Pictures will follow.
