Mallory's class finally had their Valentine's party last week after all the snow days. They didn't do the usual program for the parents since the party kept being postponed so I don't have many photos. The last one here is actually Mallory in front of a bunch of tulips Paul got at Wal Mart for a dollar. He's going to plant them when it warms up. Tulips grow great here in KY!

Pie Crazy
I've been in to making pies lately. I would really like to be a good pie maker. I feel like I have cakes down but pies are more complicated. I do enjoy the challenge.
The first one is a coconut cream pie. Then chocolate cream. Then Paul's favorite, the lemon meringue. And lastly I tried a chocolate chess pie with fresh whipped cream. My favorite of these four was the chocolate cream. I haven't mastered a good homemade pastry yet for the crust. Will keep trying til I get it!

Valentine's Party on Hold
The kids' school Valentine's parties were supposed to be last Wednesday. We had a snow day. The make up party day was today. Another snow day. When oh when will their Valentine's party be? I got these cute little cards at Wal Mart. They are so fun and cheap! It was 3.80 for 27 little cards. But, the question is, will they ever be passed out to their little friends? Snow Snow Go Away, Come again next year.

Another Snow Day
The schools here in Franklin Co have been closed now for 6 straight school days. We are all getting tired of the snow. I know my AL friends love it and it is really fun but after having it on the ground for like three weeks you get a little ready for grass to show again. I made the kids snowman pancakes yesterday. My friend Terri makes them for her grandkids.

White Castle Valentine's Dinner
We went to White Castle for the second year in a row last night for their annual Valentine's Dinner. They have the same White Castle menu with the same prices but you have to make a reservation and you get waited on. It was really fun and sweet. They really go all out with real tablecloths, flowers, balloons etc. This wasn't our only Valentine's celebration...Paul took me to Carraba's Friday night! Uncle Bud flew in to OH for business yesterday morning and drove down to spend a couple days with us so he joined in on the fun.
