The Niagara of the South

We spent a night at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park over Memorial Day Weekend. (see the whole album here) We love the state parks here in KY. The "resort" only means there is a lodge or cabins on the grounds. It's not fancy but is nice because there is a restaurant in the lodge and we don't have to pack up food for meals. We took a raft ride on the river to see the falls up close which was a real treat. The kids swam in the pool and we did some hiking on nice, marked out trails thru the woods. On our way home we stopped by Col. Sanders' original restaurant where Kentucky Fried Chicken was born. It was a great two days.
