blog is sick
For some reason my pictures show up when I post but later disappear. I am investigating this problem:(
My little athlete
Michael is playing his first sport this spring. He's in the Little Kickers soccer league thru the Y. His team is called the Wizards. My friend Kristi and her husband Brad are his coaches. And one of his preschool class mates is on the team. To see more of the action from his first practice click here.

Sleepover
Lillian, our next door neighbor and Mallory's friend, spent the night for the first time last weekend. Mallory had attempted to spend the night with her last summer but I got a call around 11 that night saying she wanted to come home. The girls had a good time and got along well. Note how they arranged all Mallory's Barbies facing the TV to watch the movie with them.

Safari Saturday
I took the kids to Safari Saturday at the game farm last weekend. It's a 2 hour program on the second Saturday of the month for 3-6 year olds. I highly recommend it if you are in the Frankfort area. Emily Hogue, the director, had the time filled with songs, stories, crafts, sharing about your favorite animals, games and the walk thru the game farm. Not only was it fun, it was educational! The kids (and I) learned what scat is! Do you know? The kids got these cute safari hats and homemade binoculars for the safari.

Daddy/Daughter Gumbo Making
Paul and Mallory made some gumbo a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get any photos of the gumbo but it was really good. We were going to watch the Princess and the Frog for family movie night but couldn't find our copy. I'm anxious for Paul to see it since it's set in New Orleans and makes so many references to all things cajun.

Belle Bows
When Mallory came along my cousin Sonya gave me lots of things that had been her daughter AnnaBelle's. One thing that she shared was these great ribbons. She called them lasagna ribbons and they are sometimes called double ruffle ribbons. AnnaBelle wore them in most of her early school pictures. The other morning when I fixed Mallory's hair I told her she looked like Cousin AnnaBelle and she told me to take her picture to send it to AB. These ribbons are really popular in Montgomery where I'm from but you don't see them here at all, except on Mallory.
Below is Mallory in the first picture and the rest are AnnaBelle in her beautiful bows.
